MAKE YOUR OWN HAIR EXTENSIONS (BEFORE CHEMO)

This is a short documentary about my response to hair loss whilst going through chemo. I knew I didn't want to wear a wig, so I cut my hair and made some hair extensions that I could attach to hats and beanies (for later on when my hair fell out). It was a fun, creative & empowering project.

This was an incredible experience for myself and my daughter. Our photographer included us in the creative design of the shoot and gave us some beautiful memories to last beyond a life time. 

MAKE A HOPE STONE

You can read about hope stones in an article from the Rogel Cancer Centre where any patient, child or adult can paint a rock and place it in their garden. "It gives the patients and families a support system to express themselves. A lot of family members paint rocks for their loves ones." This is a great idea for anyone who wishes to paint a message of motivation, hope or even humour.
